What we won’t pierce: surface bars on fingers or wrists (they reject and scar), broken, irritated or sunburnt skin, or someone else’s jewellery into a fresh piercing. If your anatomy won’t hold a placement, we’ll suggest one that will.
Prices include the implant-grade titanium jewellery fitted on the day. Solid gold and gem ends are in the cabinet whenever you want to upgrade. 25 Kč = 1 €.
Why this matters
A gun doesn’t pierce.
It tears.
Plenty of shops still use a spring-loaded gun. Here’s why we never will.
| Point | Kafka INK · needle | Piercing gun |
|---|---|---|
| How it pierces | Razor-sharp hollow needle cuts a clean channel | Blunt stud forced through, crushing tissue |
| Healing | Less swelling, fewer bumps, heals straight | #1 cause of crooked holes we re-do |
| Sterility | Sealed single-use needle, then sharps bin | Plastic gun can’t be autoclaved |
| Cartilage | Safe on helix, tragus, conch, rook | Can shatter cartilage — permanently |
| Pain | Sharper, faster — most say it’s easier | Blunt pressure builds before it goes |
| Placement | Marked on you, checked in the mirror | Goes wherever the gun fits |

Jewellery
The metal matters
more than the design.
Nine out of ten “I’m allergic to piercings” stories are really cheap-metal stories.
Your visit
Fifteen minutes.
Two seconds of needle.
Anatomy check
We look at your ear properly and tell you which placements will genuinely work on you.
Pick your jewellery
Choose your end from the cabinet first — you leave with the piece you came for.
Mark & check
We mark the spot and hand you a mirror. We re-mark as many times as it takes.
Breathe out — done
Sterile needle from a sealed pack, one smooth pass, jewellery straight in.
Aftercare in hand
Written instructions, a saline tip, and our number for photos. Free check-ups any time.
- Photo ID — we check age for every piercing.
- Under 18? A parent or legal guardian comes with you, with their own ID. Some placements stay 18+.
- A proper meal within two hours. Fainting is almost always an empty stomach.
- Hair tied back for ears, a top you can move for navel or nipple.
- A picture of the look you want — it genuinely helps.
- You’ve had alcohol today, or you’re coming from a night out.
- The area is sunburnt, broken or irritated.
- You’re unwell, running a temperature, or on antibiotics.
- You’re pregnant or breastfeeding — we’ll happily see you afterwards.
- You’re on blood thinners or treated for a condition affecting healing — talk to your doctor first.
Aftercare & healing
Sore for days.
Healed in months.
Stopped hurting doesn’t mean healed — that’s when jewellery gets changed too early.
Tick them off — the list saves on your phone, so bookmark the page and it’s here tomorrow.
Tender & a little swollen
Totally normal. Sleep off it — a travel pillow works wonders for ears.
Crusting, then calm
Pale crust is healing, not infection. Saline twice a day. Don’t twist it.
Time to downsize
Come in for a shorter post, free. This one visit prevents most bumps.
Feels healed. Isn’t.
Cartilage is still rebuilding. Don’t swap jewellery yourself yet.
Properly healed
We check it and change you into anything from the cabinet.
See a doctor, not us, if: redness is spreading, heat travels away from the site, there’s thick yellow-green discharge, a fever, or pain that gets worse after the first few days. Leave the jewellery in and go. Anything short of that — bumps, crust, a loose ball — bring it to us, free.
Questions people ask
The honest
answers.
Send us a photo of your ear on WhatsApp and we’ll suggest placements.
Do I need to book?
No. Walk in any day between 10:00 and 22:00. Piercings are quick, so the wait is usually short — a quick call ahead means we can have the right jewellery ready.
How much does it hurt, really?
Sharp, and over in about two seconds. Lobes barely register. Cartilage is a firmer, deeper pinch and you’ll feel warm for a minute afterwards. Almost nobody finds it as bad as they’d braced for.
Can I get several done at once?
Usually yes — curated ear stacks are some of our favourite work. We cap it sensibly: too many fresh cartilage holes in one ear leaves you nowhere comfortable to sleep.
When can I change the jewellery myself?
Once it’s fully healed — see the healing timeline, and check with us first. A fresh channel is easy to damage, so we’d rather do the first change for you.
I have a bump. Is it infected?
Almost always no. Most bumps are irritation — a knock, sleeping on it, a bar that’s now too long, or over-cleaning. Let us look before you treat it with anything from the internet. It’s free.
Can you re-do a crooked piercing?
Often, yes. It depends on how the old channel healed, so bring it in. Sometimes the honest answer is to let it close for a few months first — we’ll tell you.
Do you pierce children’s ears?
Come and talk to us in person. There’s a minimum age, a guardian must be present with ID, and the child has to want it. We won’t pierce a child who is distressed.
Is titanium really necessary?
For a fresh piercing, yes. Most “surgical steel” contains nickel — the most common metal sensitivity there is, and the real reason many people think their body “rejects” piercings.
Do you do tattoos as well?
We do — realism, blackwork, fine line and cover-ups, walk-in or booked. See walk-in tattoos →
